When I last interviewt Anneke van Giersbergen it was 2018 and VUUR was on tour with their debut album and second recording was coming along already. One could say that a lot of shit has gone down since then but that would be understatement. Now Anneke has put out her new heartbreak fueled solo album The Darkest Skies Are the Brightest. Let’s not lose focus here though, the tattoo she was talking about in the last interview did happen but not in Berlin in the end, you can see the tattoo in my Instagram if interested.
